Well, the inevitable happened. Today, I was pulled to the side and was alerted of my actions. Like any retail company, a Best Buy corporate representative has been watching over this site. Two managers told me about this, and consequently wrote me up. I was not terminated, as they [corporate] suggested. Insted, I was given a final warning.

So, in short, no more "Next Week At Best Buy" installment. The Best Buy dood got shut down, fast.

And to the BBY rep who alerted my manager, I humbly apologize for my actions. I was not aware that my actions could be punished by termination. I also was not aware that ads before they are released are considered confidential information. Although the Circuit City 'dood' informed me of this, I did not believe that CC's and BBY's policies mirrored one another. I assure you, my actions here will not be repeated any other time or on any other site. Again, I apologize.

Sorry to hear that Pacokorn. I'm curious though, exactly how did they know it was you? There must be thousands of Best Buy employees throughout the country who see the ad before it comes out, how did they pinpoint it down to you? Either way, I'm glad to know you didn't lose your job. I wish you the best.

I have a link to my 1UP.com account, and my name and hometown is there. They narrowed it down to two stores around here, and called up the managers for either store.

Guess I got too full of myself and didn't bother covering my tracks. But I use the same name everywhere, so it's not hard to find me. =P
